2017年起受聘为武汉大学中国边界与海洋研究院客座研究员，1992年起，获得加拿大律师资格，武汉大学、青岛大学、燕山大学兼职教授，加拿大菲莎大学（Simon Fraser University）教授国际法课程（1995-2007）
